This is the truth.
This is the truth.
I enjoyed my time there.
As a state, Indiana sucks.

In sports, yes, for the most part (besides their basketball teams, which are always solid to good). The school though is strong enough and the campus is nice.

It's much better than the South
Matt McClintock (sp?) is going to be a force in the B1G for the next 3 years.
It is a pretty terrible place.
Purdue is gross.
West Lafayette stinks.
I had a great time at Purdue. In hindsight, I probably should have drank less and studied/trained a bit more but I wouldn't have changed a thing.
Suck it, nerds.

Crown Point alum?
It is awful.
for any high school kids reading this thread who are considering the possibility of attending Purdue, dont.
I transferred to IU after my freshman year and Indiana was so much better in essentially every single aspect. Unless you are an engineer or vet IU is the better choice.
the social scene is so much better. Greek life plays a big part but it is much less dominant than it is at Purdue. At IU, you can go either way and still have a great time whereas at Purdue going Greek is almost a social necessity. IU has one of the best house party scenes in the country, but if your a frat guy you have plenty of great options.
West Lafayette is a dump, so is Bloomington but BTown still has that great, legitimate "college town" feel that is severely lacking at Purdue
Little 500, nuff said
Academics are in general better (with the exception of engineering of which there is no program at IU)
IU has one of the top business schools in the nation
see here...http://kelley.iu.edu/about/rankings.html
IU also has the #1 music school, one of the tops SPEA programs in the nation, and other great programs in both the sciences and humanities
Athletics. yes we know IU football is generally bad but look at Purdue as of late. need I mention IU basketball? IU soccer won the national championship last year, baseball was close and the track team is always good. The tailgates and general environment are awesome.
Facilities - 2 huge rec centers and tons of intramurals
awesome libraries with great resources/help
Professors - experts in their fields, top notch
PURDUE SUCKS

And kept your credit score in order...

That's EXCELLENT news!

IU is the bottom tier program in the Big Ten. Purdue is not.
Don't believe me? Look at the US News Rankings. IU is #75 on the list, the very bottom school from the Big Ten. Even Michigan State, Iowa, and yes, Purdue, are rated higher. Even lower than Ohio State, which had freakin' open admission policies not all that long ago.
Maybe you still live in Indiana where an IU degree is worth something. Go a few states away and everyone knows IU is not so great a school.

And this is why they suck.

Except for basketball, Purdue is better in athletics over the long haul, as well.
I clicked on the thread because I thought it was about ND winning this past weekend. Man, they sucked for giving up the lead so easily.
