Tired of this crap.
Tired of this crap.
No one had any balls
Pre would have ran sub 4 and dared anyone to come with him.
one of the worst WC 1500's ever.
Nobody except for Farah has come close to Kiprop's 3:27, so you think the winning strategy was to try and run fast from the start and magically outpace a 3:27 Kiprop?
The only thing a fast pace would have done is allow Kiprop to win a by a much bigger margin than he did.
We've really missed David Rudisha this year. He'd show these pretenders how to make a race honest.
Clearly none of you losers has ever been in a big time race. Only thing that counts is your place! Once you figure that out, you may be able to say something useful on this board. Just say you like time trials. Maybe they should have a individual time trial event. Every person runs a 1500 by themselves. Until they do shut up and learn to enjoy tactical racing. Of course if you have never been faster than a 5 min miler you certainly would not understand.
What's wrong with sit and kick? Works for Centro. What a performer!
sub-60, sub-2:00 splits aren't slow by championship racing standards.
Check out Montanyo for why you don't front run unless you are completely dominant.
3:36 is not even that slow. Go find another sport to follow.
Are you by chance Alysia Johnson Montano's coach? You (and all the other computer jockeys) seem to understand racing tactics really well!
When will it stop? When it stops winning championship races -- probably never.

You're an idiot.
I thoroughly enjoyed that race!
Yes, it came down to the kick so see who would win, but Chepseba really made it interesting with his move. Would the field and kiprop be able to cover that in the last lap? Would they pick him up? Would kiprop be able to pull off that kick? Would Centro be able to reel back in and pull off the kick?
I love the drama in 3 3/4 laps.

You are clueless. This was the World Championships and Kiprop's goal was to win. He didn't do this strategy all year. He did font run and set a very fast time his last meet. Unlike Farah who employed the same sit and kick all year. Farah never would have run 3m28s if it wasn't for Kiprop setting a fast pace and Farah trying to hold on for dear life. If Kiprop had set a slower pace that race Farah would have just run with him until the last lap.
Anyhow back to your post. You are just repeating something you've heard others say and don't really understand World Championship running and tactics.

I am so tired of this ridiculous argument and canned defense of so-called "tactical" racing. Throwing in multiple surges is tactical; jogging for 1100 meters and then seeing who has the best 400 speed literally is a gutless copout.
And, yes, "tactical" racing as defined by the likes of you is in fact gutless racing. Everyone in the race is literally AFRAID to lay it on the line for FEAR of being beaten by a better runner. Run it honest or don't run at all!
what the f%^k is wrong with you people?!?
yeah 3:36 is so slowwwww
btw how are you supposed to run when you have a pr 5-6 seconds slower than the number 1 seed?
