always, god and life and i'm out of breath strangeness...
he's been cheating for years.
we are better for having his strange man out of our sport.
rather have 10 flat normal folk than 9. weirdos.
LOL
What about 10-flat weirdos, like Kiryu? You know they have used-panty vending machines over there, right?
My question is why can the US not produce an intelligent elite male sprinter? Is there a selection bias? The women have gotten worse, too. Bailey, Surin, Fredericks, and even Lewis are intellectual giants compared to the US crew. Heck, just compare Colin Jackson to MJ on their broadcasts.
Look back, too. WTF is the matter with US elite sprinters? Now, guys around the world like Blake and Ndure are no prizes either. My money is on guys like Dentarius Locke, guys who aren't intellectually crippled.
Gay's act wasn't very good at all--he laid it on too thickly to be believable. Also, he had a response different from, but similar to, Carter--whereas Carter never really cracked a smile and just looked like he was waiting to get caught, Gay never really cracked a smile and paved over the truth with his OCD hustle-and-bustle act.
What we need are GENUINE sprinters, ones we can believe--ones who are happy when they do well, who are pissed when they flame, who honor those who have honestly beat them, who call out those who are suspicious, who can and will answer specific questions about training and races.
You don't have to LIKE all genuine sprinters, just appreciate the fact that they are being genuine. I know lots of you have trouble with Lewis, but he was genuine--what you saw was what you got. You didn't have to like him, but you had to appreciate the fact that he was being genuine (mostly). Carl Lewis basically started this big-money, high-profile track thing, especially as it relates to sprinting, and he is so far really the only one who has had the balls to say or do anything significant, maybe because he occupies a unique position in the history of this sport.
Look to guys like Collins, Lemaitre, Vicaut, Locke, etc. for genuineness...even maybe Ndure, who is a butterhead stoner but at least isn't acting or putting on a particular face/farce for the media.
Also, I wish that the Japanese and Chinese would do a better job of presenting their athletes to the world in general.
resigned.
Johan Blake served a 3 month suspension back in 2009 for testing positive for a banned substance - I would say all of the major sprinters under 10s are using...its pretty clear

Nobody had to do it. Offensive.
Nooooooooo!
Shocked. Not.
Sorry, but when Mary "I have a T-shirt that says '100% Natural.' I'm going to wear it when I race against the Russians" Slaney got busted, I pretty much lost hope - and when hometown girl Deeja Youngquist, basically a nobody as a pro, got popped, and Lance & Marion finally 'fessed up after vehemently denying it for years - I've become pretty resigned to the fact that they're ALL doing it.
And also, the ones who evoke the name of God the most seem to be the worst offenders.
