Bring back the Onituska Tiger Marathon flat!!!
I've been going crazy trying to figure out the name of Tigers we wore back in '73 or so. What did the marathons look like? The ones we had had a non-padded all nylon upper (in blue or red) that was in two pieces. There was a small suede leather patch over the toe box and a similar one at the heel. The Tiger logo was in white nylon. The sole was white with a few millimeters of blue padding under the heel and forefoot. There was nothing but a thin layer of the white outsole under the arch (not a "slab" design). I seem to remember someone calling them "Pintos", but I am not sure. I always ran sock-less with them and never had a blister. I remember flying down steep hills in them wondering why my shins didn't explode.
