PEDs vs TUEs. The ultimate competition?

First of all, it's been just over two weeks and he did the double, so he may need a little more recovery time. And plenty of other guys have not raced, especially those that did the 10k. What about Ritz, Derrick, Jager, Huling, True? I haven't seen any results for them either.
THE "DOUBLE"???
Rupp, a 13:00/26:50 guy, ran a 28:30 10,000 (that's a six-mile tempo for him, guys) and a 15-minute 5k.
There was no "double" that can be blamed for his failure to race.
He struggled in his only DL 5,000 this year (a reasonably fast race), then attempted to sit-and-kick at USATF and got smoked by a 38 year-old. Not boding well. He has gone "back to the drawing board."
Rupp's a 3:50/7:30/26:4x guy. That's incredible range. He should not be any lower than 4th place in these races and certainly not finishing so close to Ritz and Derrick. Damn right he needs to go back to the drawing board.
For once I wish he ran a truly run race. Why dick around in the last lap and possibly get beaten by the likes of Lagat when you KNOW if he went from 5-6 laps out - Lagat is toast (as shown in 2008 oly 5k).
These sit and kick 53-54s last lap guys are posers who crumble if you grind the pace from a long ways out. (With exception of Gebrewhet - his speed is not as good as the top 2 but he has better speed endurance).
If he runs a true race there will be at most 4 guys (including him) in the last 400m. That is a much, much better chance of medaling than if you go into the last lap with 12 guys hammering.
F*ck the sit and kick. Hammer balls out from 2000-2400m out.

All of his competitors have raced at least once since USA's, yet Rupp hasn't competed at all since that miraculous 5k in Des Moines. What's going on?
Are you joking or just crazy? The US Champs ended 15 days ago. Rupp ran a 5k and a 10k. Why SHOULD he have raced since then? There is a reason all the 1500 runners are racing, they didn't have the time! They also didn't have a 5k and 10k run in extreme heat under them. Look for Rupp to probably get in a race next weekend or the week following that.

For most of these guys, I think it's literally option B. There's no other explanation that makes sense. Otherwise they'd be rational and apply the same standards to the other guys who raced 10K and are preparing for Worlds. To these guys, the fact that Rupp has had some success (like an Olympic medal) isn't an indication that he and his coach make good decisions regarding when and where to race while keeping the big picture in mind -- it's just a reason to be even more critical when he occasionally doesn't run well.
Rupp has announced for Diamond League mile 7/26-28
http://www.diamondleague-london.com/News/NewsArticles/News---170413-/
Regarding a post explaining away rupp's plan, lasse viren might have been a poor example to cite. Just saying.
Galen ist in St. Moritz mit dem Rest der Oregon-Projekt.
Let me make a few points.
1)All of Galen's competitors haven't raced since Galen's last race on Jun 23rd. The #1 Kenyan at 5k in the world Isiah Koech last raced on June 22nd. The #3 Kenyan at 5000 John Kipkoech last raced on June 6th.The #3 Kenyan and Pre winner last raced on June 6th.
2) I think it only seems like Galen hasn't competed in a while.
It's been what - two weeks since Des Moines? The fact of the matter if you run a 10k/5k and you probably need at least a week to take it easy if you are trainng properly. If you then decide to race again, you can't really train properly as you need to get ready for the race.
So you recover from the end of June effort and put in an ice block of training for a month before WOrlds.
Last year, Rupp ran ZERO RACES between USAs and the Olympics. Farah ran only one race in July - a 5k in the UK which he won in 13:06.
3) The people who think Mo and Galen are on different schedules are wrong. Their racing schedule is pretty similar so far this year so far:
Galen Rupp's 2013 races
Feb 21 - last indoor race (not mid March as guy said)
May 3rd - 3k in Eugene 746 (basically a workout)
May 17 - 1500/5k at Oxy
June 1 - Pre Classic -
June 20/23 - USAs
Mo Farah's 2013 Races
Feb 16 - last indoor race/Feb 24 - Mardi Gras Half
May 17 - 5k at Oxy
June 1 - Pre Classic
June 22 - European Team Champs (workout level)
June 30- Birmingham 5k win
Now this year, Mo is obviously going to race in Birmingham on what July July 26-28 as that's a massive pay check. Rupp is going to race there as well. Maybe the Brits make Mo run the 1500 at their champs? But that's a workout as well.
4) Overall their racing plan seems smart to me. You run USAs/end of June, recover. Train hard for 3-4 weeks, race again and get ready for worlds.
"Someone had to do it's" made a good attempt but his dates are off so I've adjusted them below. My corrections appear in bold.

Exactly. This is NOT going to work for Rupp in a 5,000 but he can certainly run the legs off of Lagat and similar competitors. Rupp's engine is amazing.
Rupp just did a 5k/10k a couple of weeks ago, under the circumstances it is not uncommon to wait a couple of weeks before racing again. Keep in mind that a lot of athletes racing now didn't have a trial, they have to race to secure their spot and/or they need a paycheck. None of these situations apply to Rupp; Rupp will probably do a 5k and 1500 before Moscow.

Seriously, where are all the Kenyans this year is more like it? I know there was another thread on this, but it's starting to feel ominous. I know last summer was disappointing for them. Get ready for some serious stuff at worlds.
Lots of the other guys and gals who are racing had to worry about getting the World Championship standards, not a concern for Galen. So he doesn't have to rush off and start racing again, instead he can focus on recovering from the double at USATF and race when he is ready.
"What's going on?"
Man, some of you are clueless. It's been two weeks since USA's. He had to sharpen/taper (at least some) to ensure making the team. The worlds are 7 weeks after USA's. That's too long to hold a peak. Since he does not have to chase the A, there is NO point in running top races right now. Now is the time to put in a strong block of training.
He may run a one or two under races (1500-3k) a little closer to Worlds. I'd be surprised if he run a 5K or longer until that time.
Then again, I'm not Salazar, and neither are you.
He's hiding in Honduras

Good points, only trouble is Rupp has not show much recently and and other runners have shown a lot
Rupp needs a race at a fast pace in my opinion
you forgot the road 10k in London Farah ran less than a week before the Pre 5k. IF your going to state facts GET IT RIGHT OR DONT POST AT ALL
