Just depends on where you are wanting to go.
Dont expect to get money to run for Co, Or, or Stanford. But you can find small schools that might give you some book money.
It just depends on your goals for school, how far you are willing to move, etc..
On one hand I'll tell you that running even at a small d1 program is awesome. I loved being a collegiate athlete, it's really as high up as any of us will ever get in the sport. Also in XC and track you still get to race the big guys at the larger meets if you want to see where you stack up.
On the other I would have a hard time moving across the country and/or compromising my school just so I could run. You wont be a professional runner post-grad. You will be a professional ________. That is more important.
