Is there any danger of doing Recovery Runs too slow?
I read/study Jack Daniel´s book right now and I am a bit surprised that his suggested recovery run times are so fast. He also says that recovery runs should be run with a certain intensity. I didnt know recovery runs were supposed to be like this, I thought they were more like "go with the feeling". If you feel wrecked after a heavy work out the day before go slow (read: jog) or if you feel fresh you can cruise at 4 min/km tempo. Also Mr Daniels doesnt seem to take hills and such things into consideration, I feel his times are only "valid" if you work out at the track.
What do LRC readers say about this? Am I totally off the track here?
