As part of my marathon build this summer/fall I want to add in 2 days a week of weights/core/supplemental training. If I want to maximize the results from these sessions what should I do, and for how long? I will e following the pfitzinger 70-85 18 week plan, and shooting for 2:55 as an A goal with 3:00 as a b goal and 3:05 as my last ditch goal.
If it makes a difference I am a 6' 2 155 lb male, recent prs are 17:53 in the 5k and 20:34 in the 8k.
