Does anyone have recommendations on current shoes most comparable to the Adidas Adizero PRs? It seems they make a lot of flats nowadays with a stiffer forefoot ("springs" with pushoff), rather than flexing naturally with the foot, like the PRs.

I'm still using my last pair of PRs and have also been looking for the closest thing. I would say the New Balance Road Minumus, I can never keep their numbering system straight, 100 maybe, is the closest thing I've found followed by the Mizuno Wave Universe. But neither one comes close to the PR in price. Both shoes are a lot more expensive.
The Piranha is close when broken in.

I have the Minimus, but it feels softer, and like it "wraps" the foot too much. I like my foot to feel like it sits flat in the shoe. I wish I could find the Wave Universe locally to test it out, but those might be the closest. Thanks!
The Mizuno Wave Ekiden are really, really nice. The upcoming adidas Takumi Sen are super shoes, and the Saucony A5 is similar, albeit a bit softer.

Just released, on the adidas website now.
http://www.adidas.com/us/product/unisex-running-adizero-takumi-sen-shoes/TD872150 might be a lot, but they look like they are worth it.

The Takumi Sen looks interesting, but $169 at Road Runner Sports? Yikes- have to see what Running Warehouse sells it for.

I don't know why anyone would buy it there. It's 149.99 at eastbay and 150 on the adidas.com site.
The Internet shoe sellers do let you return shoes. You could go through the potential hassle of returning the Universe if it doesn't work out. It is not as soft as the Minimus and I think it feels flatter than the Minimus. Adidas also has this:

It has some similarity to the PR. I don't like it as well but it's not bad.
The Minimus I have is the 00, not the 10.
Ok, thanks for the suggestions. Looks like the Adipure Gazelle have good reviews, and the price is reasonable. I have the Minimus 00s too, but it wraps the foot too much.
