They are pretty much interchangeable parts. Does it really make a difference which one? If one gets broken, there are 50 more to choose from on the assembly line.

Did Rupp just say "Ethiopia made a big move" in his post-race interview? Does he not no Gebrhiwet's name? What is that about?
Mary Cain recap is up:
We don't feel real comfortably hyping HS girls but this one can't be ignored.
Rojo, 9:38.68 not 9:38.88 *facepalm*

Do you not feel comfortable hyping high schoolers in general, or is it just high school girls that give you pause? If so, can you elaborate?

was erica moore high in that interview? very strange.
She was high on her own extreme hotness.
Rupp should jump into Lagat's race @ Millrose. Beating lagat should compensate for losing to Hagos.

I think this happens a lot with U.S. runners. I think that they know of the competitors but have not met them other than pre-race introductions. He probably has only heard the name pronounced a few times. I think they are concerned about things like mispronouncing their names, particularly Ethiopian names. Obviously, a guy like Rupp would feel comfortable saying Meb's name, Sam Chelanga or Shadrack Kiptoo Biwott because he knows them. The Bekeles or Haile G are so famous that he would feel comfortable with those names as well.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
