Has anyone here ever experienced or know anyone with breathing problems related to air fresheners? I'm a college student with exercised induced asthma and my room mate seems to be completely reliant on these Glade air freshener products that sit in the dorm room and emit fragrance. I know they are probably really bad for you but I can't seem to convince him to not use it. I haven't noticed any bad smells in the room before and personally have great hygiene so I think it's just that he's addicted to using these and not trying to cover up any bad smell in the room. I've done some googling and found that these air fresheners have hazardous/carcinogenic ingredients such as formaldehyde and am concerned that it might affect my running and overall health. I have recently developed a minor cough and sneeze since moving back in for second semester, which could be attributed to the air freshener it just a coincidence.
I might just be paranoid but I'm the type of person who holds his breath when walking past a smoker so...
