Sorry to go back on my word, but while stupidity is forever, your ignorance can be fixed. First of all, here is the original post, please read where it says 5K on the track. I made the mistake of thinking you could scroll up and take a look. Second, I said nothing of Sanchez. I am in agreement that Sage could probably run a pretty good 5K in high school, but he didn't, so how can he or anyone else who didn't be included on a hs 5K track list? How hard can this be? I am a believer that numbers talk. I do go on about how some guy (who must be good, because I was there and saw the race) should be included as one of the best because it was windy when he ran, he fell and still ran pretty fast, it was uphill both ways or any other bullshit excuse. Numbers talk! What was Don Sage's hs track 5K? Right, he didn't run one. He is one of the US's better hs runners ever, but he is not one of the top 5K runners, he didn't run it. Scoreboard! End of conversation. You can attack me all you want, but it doesn't change that you are wrong about this. I made no claims to be a historian. I claimed you were lacking history if you thought all the mentioned runners did so in huge post season meets(This came from your post). This is not true. Don't make claims you are guessing at. It makes you look stupid. I believe, but am not sure, that Virgin ran more than one 5K, so rather than spout off about something I don't know about, I opened my mind and hoped to learn from others. Try it sometime. From my perspective this is not about being right, but it is about staying on the topic. I typically post rarely, but thought the topic was interesting since I ran with the Oregon guy and the guy who posted concerning him. I will not go back on my word twice, so I will not respond. Take your shots, think them through first, and I will live with it. Original post:

Gerry Lindgren, Steve Prefontaine, Ritz, and Franklin Sanchez all on the track for a blazing fast 5k when they are just out of high school.
