Well, he wouldn't have been a lock to win NXN, as he would have had to deal with Nick Ryan of Fayetteville-Manlius, who's been pretty spectacular this season.
He's a 4:05/9:03 guy, whose only loss this year was to Cheserek at Manhattan. Ryan ran 12:05 there at VCP, and just set the Bowdoin CR at the NXN NE.
Yep, he wouldn't have been a lock to win anywhere... great runners in both fields.
FLN has Cheserek, McGorty, Gardner, Thomson, Brickell, Leingang, and possibly Saarel (he's registered for FLW though he qualified for NXN).
NXN has Ryan, Hardy, Leingang, Montoya, Burcham, Martinez, Peterman, and possibly Saarel (if he didn't opt for FLW instead)... possibly Wilmot as well, depending on his status.
And, of course, there are a couple other notables beyond Leingang that are running both (Domanic and Wharton)
