I understand recovery runs and tempo runs. What effort do I need for aerobic runs? I thnk i overtrain in the sense of too hard aerobic and recovery days. Where should my heart rate be on aerobic days?
My best 5k came off 60 mile per week training; 18:25. Marathon PR off the same mileage; 3:16. Being 205 pounds seems to inhibit performance on longer distances. The 'hadd' thread is great. If someone has advice so I can break 3 hours at some point, I'd be grateful. Mileage-wise, 60 to 70 is about my peak before injuries begin. Though, I'm willing to believe that smarter training allows more mileage.
