CU always gets out conservatively and with a greater than usual eye on team running, but if they could afford to run the way they did yesterday -- it was clear that at least a couple of the guys in their top six could have run 10 or 20 seconds faster -- then they could be very scary at Nationals.
hahahaha! do you think the chick they borrowed the top from was offended? were all the girls standing around thinking "notmenotmenotmenotme..." when the guy's coach approached them?

I'd rather lose than look like I just gave head.
to add, CU is usually better perpared for the 10k distance, the extra 2k kills some.
nice pic of the girls team...oregon ducks
Whats impressive is that Wetmore accomplishes this with all homegrown talent. If you look at Dave Smiths team it looks like the United Nations. If it wasn't for foreigners Dave Smith would be an average coach with an average team.
Wow, who is the good looking chick in the middle?

I guess German at 8 and other at 7 had no impact on last years team, Colby Lowe?
Yup scoring 15 from them really hurt them?
No Americans
I think it is Sara Penney. They have a bunch of good lookers on that Oregon team. I especially like their new freshman, Annie LeBlanc.

This is just awful. Cal's program has fallen to a new level of bad. These are really talented kids who could be great if they didn't race every workout and get injured constantly. Tony Sandoval needs to go... For that matter so does Sandy Barbour the athletic director. Both are complacent and incompotent. Tony only keeps his job because a couple guys/girls turn in good performances every year ie mike Coe the year he ran 3:56/7:48 or deb maier last year. Having one a handful of athletes succeed while the program is consistently bad is not indicitive of a good situation. They get great recruits every year and every year the majority run poorly or get injured. Many end up quitting or becoming disillusioned. I could give more examples or delve into the issues more if I wanted to but let's just say that a PAC 12 program should meet for practice more than 3 times per week and a coach should know when he is overtraining his athletes when they can't even repeat their performances from workouts on race day. Do us all a favor and retire Tony.
