I can honestly say Columbia and NYU are some of the most depressing campuses I’ve seen. GW is right up there with Thomas Edison University in Trenton for WOAT tho

Schools north of Mason Dixon line are disqualified because of nasty winters and fat girls.
Old post, but the south is way fatter than the north lol

You can add AIC in Springfield, Ma to the Woat list, close to the top. Fugly
In looking through this thread, I agree with everyone saying UVA, Vandy and the University of the South. However, one school that hasn't been mentioned, and is surprisingly beautiful, is the University of Toledo.
West Chester University, PA
Stanford
Pepperdine
Cornell
Indiana
Notre Dame
Colgate
USC is the most beautiful campus I've visitied. Beach girls all over the place. Millions of them. There's no other place like USC on Earth.
Oxford University
I think it comes down to how you define campus. For overall setting it is hard to beat Pepperdine perched on the pacific coast overlooking Malibu to the west and the Santa Monica mountains to east.
The University of Washington is a huge campus with many unremarkable buildings but is located along Lake Washington with sweeping views of downtown Seattle, the Olympic Mountains to the West and Cascades to the east. There are cherry tree lined boulevards that are an amazing pink in the Spring.
Princeton's collegiate gothic campus is my personal favorite but that is a matter of taste.. Middlebury College's granite buildings are a different aesthetic but also quite beautiful. Some people prefer UVA's neoclassical style though for my money I'd place Washington and Lee University higher. Stanford with its unique Mission Revival Romanesque style speaks to others. I could see any of these schools being called the most beautiful but again it comes down to personal preference.
From a running perspective I discount Yale b/c while it has many beautiful buildings it is located in a part of New Haven that is not very beautiful and it lacks a lot of outdoor space compared to many of the schools above. Stanford is surrounded by open space to the west and has large swaths of campus that are undeveloped, there are many great running options. Princeton has acres of farmland and open space preserves along Lake Carnegie and one can run for miles in the woods along the old Delaware and Raritan Canal towpath. Charlottesville, Middlebury, and Lexington City offer an abundance of running options and quite access to nature. Like Yale University of Washington is an urban campus but it literally borders many parks such as the Arboretum (miles of trails), quick access to multi-use trails along Lake Washington including the Burke Gilman and many state parks are a quick run or bike ride from campus on paved paths.
UC Santa Barbara has it's own beach but was mainly build in the 60s and 70s and most buildings have not stood the test of time in terms of beauty / style.
I know this thread is 9 years old, but that's a weird-ass list. Nothing special about Miami (Ohio) or Bucknell or Notre Dame. Notre Dame might have some allure if you are Catholic, but other than its history, the looks of it aren't anything special. Vassar needs to be on that list. Pepperdine wins the award for greatest gap between beauty of the place vs. ugliness of the people there.
Hanover in southern Indiana is a pretty campus. I think it’s D3. It’s especially beautiful in the fall.
The USC girls grew up with 365 days of sun and beach weather which creates a hot rack. Not many frumpy, chubbo, junk food eaters.
I wouldn't put it at the top of the list, but I was on the CCNY campus this past weekend and it was surprsingly lovely.
Frankly not what I would have expected from a campus in the middle of Harlem, Manhattan.
1. Miami (FL)
2. Pepperdine
3. Virginia
4. Duke
5. UC Boulder
6. Harvard

Long Beach State University is the most beautiful campus. Right near the Pacific Ocean and has a giant blue pyramid to capture your interest. And the Asian bunnies love to lick your balls. Vastly underrated! Go 49ers!!
Hey Flagpole, 🖕🖕
Man, What did I do? I posted here 9 years ago and said Stanford needed to be at the top of the list. Jeebus.

Yep. I've been on tons of college campuses all over this country, and Kenyon is one of the nicest. I'm not a Fall guy, but for people who like the changing colors of the leaves, in the fall that campus is insane.

"Liberal Arts" was shot at Kenyon - sweet movie for middle aged fellers to see. Sleeper gem.
Campus does look good.
