Forget these two times , both ten mile splits in the Chicago marathon were faster than the winning time of the US championships.
We have a long way to go to catch up with the rest of the world.

Seb Coe used to do 10 mile training runs in under 50 minutes
Incredibly stupid comment. Webb could do 10 mile training runs in under 50 mins at his peak as well....so what would be your point? And he could have today apparently...considering this essentially was a training run and he went out well under 50 pace.

Solinsky was doing a tempo run, so get over the time. He was looking to hit specific splits and he did so. It's another step forward for him. /quote]
Here is my problem with this. It is major race being treated like a practice session. As a fan, I feel cheated. It's like paying full price for the NFL preseason. If you're going to put a number on your chest, you should race.

The preseason argument makes no sense. How much did you pay to watch Sols run????
no, but the guy who beat him sure is. has been for a few years too, why doesn't usada do something about this?

Did you pay full price to watch the race? To read the results? No.
If I could have paid to watch the race, I would have. I was referring to effort it takes to be a fan of this sport with little reward.

You have a number of correct options here, my arrogant buddy, and you chose none of them. You could have written, "Solinsky gets a pass, and it's good to know he must be putting in miles." Or perhaps you could have written, "Solinsky gets a pass; it's good to know he must be putting in miles."
It's easy to put together a coherent thought with the English language. Do so in the future.
ROTFLMAO. Read your second-last sentence, buddy.

Seb Coe
2 x 1500m Oly Gold Medals (only man in history with 2 wins)
2 x 800m Oly Silver Medals
WR's at 800m, 1000m, and Mile in his carreer.
Webb
Zero Hardware at any global championship.
Never broke 330 in "his event."
Zero WR's at any distance.
Webb isn't worthy of carrying Coe's jock strap.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
