It's probably just Sage all bent out of shape.
Man, you folks are very thorough book reviewers!
Luke's on LetsRun all the time, but let us know if we can help answer questions on the book's Facebook page:

Hey,Luke! Great book! I can't put it down! As someone who has run several 5K and 10k, plus 2 half marathons, I told myself I would never run a marathon. This training proram makes perfect sense and I now feel, once I start training, that I am ready for my first marathon.
Thanks for the help!

I would like to see it in an e form of some sort. However, that's up to Velopress. I think that it will eventually be there, but can't give you a time frame.
I see there's a kindle version now. Anybody here have it? How is the formatting? (Running books typically have a lot of tables.)
I was given the book as a gift. Too much focus on speedwork and not enough base building.
Also, weirdly written...phrases like "60-70% to be exact."
I'm finding that helps me (even a simple 2-mile run in the morning M-F gives me 10 miles extra, and it gets the legs loose for the afternoon workout).
Lopes is a great runner. The '84 Olympics with him and Joanie dominating the women's marathon are inspirational (no sarcasm).
There was a time in the early '80s when it seemed the in thing to do was be a distance runner in the U.S. Especially on the coasts.
