Salazaar Training?????????????????????/

Salazar saved Chock from a disaster. She had a very bad eating disorder and he had her move in with his family so he could supervise her nutrition. That was the level of commitment it would take for her to have a long successful career and she decided she didn't want it. She quit running and she's probably happier than she ever was as a runner. That sounds like a success to me.

Salazar's training system is a combination of the Oregon System, Cerutty, and Lydiard. That is fairly well known among the elites.

He is a "Alberto"guy. Better and smarter than everyone you listed.

Salazaar's best result IMHO is his ability to keep his athletes injury-free. Anyone can schedule the types of workouts that would in theory result in world leading performances, but not many coaches can design such a protocol without the injuries piling up.

Quite surprised at the article in Sports Illustrated . Not true !! The session involving the 3 x 400 in 52 was one where they ran a 5 mile tempo run on the track beforehand and it was not after the 1k reps: The 1k reps were followed by 1 x 400 and 1 x 300: it's annoying when a reputable magazine like that can get it wrong as if athletes try to replicate the sessions even though on a much lower level , they could end up injured.

A lot of the regimen is based on the old Athletics West forumula (high mileage, various types of strength work, and a variety of techniques to build speed).

What pace was the 8k tempo?

And we thought Lance supporters were thick.

1. Have your pupils see a doctor several states away who happens to be one of the world's expert on EPO.

2. Develop hypothyroidism, asthma, allergies, and then get them under control with medication.
