52:08 @ 15k.
So...
0 to 5k: 17:40
5k to 10k: 17:06
10k to 15k: 17:22

13k 45:36 = 2:28 pace. slowing a little bit. bloody kenyans are going to cause a pileup - they are ferrying drinks to keitany.
...except that Keitany was the one that ran across to get the bottle...

It's actually:
17:40
17:26
17:22
Even pace so far.
Merga looking ominous.
There's a bulge in Zhu's shorts - could she be a he?
Damn, I meant:
17:20
17:26
17:24
16k 55:43= 2:27 pace. very steady. kenyans sitting back. lead pack of around 30
Paula was injured and announced several days ago that she was not going to line up - there is a replacement running in her place
Almost an hour into the race - the Americans have gotten smarter and are now tucked in behing Mikitenko and a few other runners that are in the lead. The pack is thinning - there are still 20-30 runners in the lead paack
u can still change your LRC marathon pics, lol
Kenyans and Ethiopians moving to the front...let's RUMBLE!
That New Zealander runner has such an ungainly style.

Davila deserved her 15 minutes of fame - so disappointing to be injured at the wrong time. The feed I am watching keeps showing the women who are falling off the back - we see the back of the women running; it's so much more interesting to see the lead pack, however, I guess they are trying to please people from all countries by showing all the runners, even the slow and unfit in the back
15 secs of infamy, you mean.
It's like cheating to get ahead.
If you are not capable of competing for your country, which she was clearly not close to doing up to and during the start of the race, you should step aside like man and let the next healthy athlete toe the line.
Ala Paula.

They announced the 17:40 incorrectly as 17:20. I'm 99% sure it was in fact 40, not 20.

Nope, scratch that, Straneo and Zhu retake the lead. The Kenyan girls are chatting away and giggling, it's like the Breakfast Club of Olympic marathons.

What is with the Brit announcer saying that so and so is a "useful" runner. What does that mean? They should be speaking American. ;)
Run with the wom is a useful commentator.
The weather's atrocious.

Not important - no men here :)
