I'm as big a fan of Hall as the next man with realistic expectations of where he should be at this point in his career. Like others have noted, Hall running 4:55 pace for 12 miles (at sea level this time around) means VERY little. He can do these runs in his sleep at this point.
Folks fail to put his recent races within context of his half and 5k PR's. That 59:43 was insane and the 13:15 (from college) were solid indicators of his potential. After that 2:06 and complete domination of the 2008 trials, I expected 2012 to be his year. If he runs under 2:10 or place top 6 he should be elated. Maybe he'll still around in 2016, peaking in his early thirties.
