"driving him to make the world a better place."

This is the bottom line for me too! I may not like or agree theologically with what's going on at Bethel Church but Ryan as a person seems pretty chill-lax and doesn't appear to have a vicious bone in his body as far as I can tell, except for when he's out there on the road hammering the competition! Ha! "Live and let Live" has to be the way to go with Ryan!
Tell ya what, I'd sure as hell trust him a lot sooner around my wife and kid than I would some of my closest friends!
Setting up "The Steps Foundation" was a stroke of genius and something a lot people can donate to, knowing that their money is actually going to go to help those truely in need and not into some ba$tard slimeball's pocket! If you struck it big, whether through your talent or the lottery, would you do something like this with your extra cash? Think not!
Over the last few years watching Ryan's running has had this positive affect on me where I'm starting to care about things a little more. Less blowing up, less arguing and fighting. I want to be more chill and in controll of where my ship is headed. We're all going to take a few falls in life, but like Leo M said the other day at the Trials, " It's how you GET UP that really matters, that really counts!"
If Ryan were to win in London or even medal, just think what it would do for The Steps Foundation! The dough would really start flowing in big time and some really significant Relief could reach hundreds, even thousands more! Think about the big picture of who he actully is and what he's trying to do here and not just whether he sounds a bit nutty at times. What are you doing in your life to make this ball in space a better place?
