Mark Block. Nike. Drug, PEDs. It goes on and on and on and on. Since the 80s. The sport is as dirty as it gets. No one that excels is clean. None of them. If you don't juice, you have no chance at all.

I am not surprised re Mark Block. Track and field is the same as it's been for years. BALCO. Nike. Drugs. PEDs. It goes on and on and on and on. Since the 80s (or even before then). The sport is as dirty as it gets. No one that excels is clean. None of them. If you don't juice, you have no chance at all. You are naive and completely in denial to believe any of them are absolutely clean. I stopped watching televised athletic events six years ago, because there's nobody who reaches the top echelons of the sport without synthetic aid. It's disgraceful, and the cheating athletes are disgraceful.

It's so sad but so true! America open your eyes and realize all the shit that is going on. Stop looking the other way and pretend like nothing is going on!
Remember when Matt MF Withrow humiliated Rupp? What do you think Matty Ice can close in now?
It is that miracle underwater threadmill his coach has him running on. Steve Scott was also a big proponent of underwater running. I don't mean the individual is actually running underwater like Aquaman, but his or hers legs are running underwater. Ahh, the miracles of modern science. If Mr. Joe average had that underwater threadmill in his swimming pool he would be running a 5 minute mile in no time. Underwater threadmills are the future of the sport!!!!
It's simply beyond the comprehension of any person with the slightest degree of normal intelligence that you would respond as you have. Un-frikkin-believable.

So then, assuming that you're right and no one in the sport is clean, it doesn't really even matter that people are doping.
Wrong. When this happens - across the board doping in order to be successful in sport - only those with the money can afford to do it.
Success in track and field, especially the distance events, as in all athletics, is supposed to be had by those with the right mix of talent who is willing to work the hardest.
The cost to go to the gym or the pool or the track to put in hours of practice is what, maybe $50/month.
Now you're saying in order to be competitive someone has to illegally purchase thousands of dollars of performance enhancing drugs - and that should be allowed because everyone is doing it.
We shouldn't ask that from any of today's kids dreaming to compete in the the Olympics.
I say it again it is the underwater treadmill.

Nice try, but I know these people and I know their program is clean.
A Duck, is it true that you know Alberto Salazar and his colleagues/athletes as you claim?
If so, can you please tell us more about how you "know their program is clean"?
This would be very helpful information right now, because we want to defend the program. If you could let us know your evidence that NOP is clean that would be great.
Thank you.
I always thought A Duck was salazar himself. The posts always sounded like him talking.

No. Malmo has Identified him as a walkon 800m runner who never competed for the Ducks. His name is Erik something and says that only 2 of his "teammates" even remember him, and both of them didn't want anything to do with him.
Thanks for the tip, Jerry. But I think I'll trust my intuition on this one.
