Well beaten? He finished 1.9s behind Solinsky, running a 4:00 last 1600m, the day following the 10,000m final in which he finished in 1:52. This will be nearly a full week after the 10k, and 3 full days after an easy 5k.

I don't think Rupp or Lomong are locks.
Rupp was well beaten last year by Solinsky and Lagat. That was proof that he gets tired. Rupp is not fresh. That will affect him.
Lomong is inexperienced in the event and hasn't proven himself to be definite lock.
Bumbalough has a shot. Definitely slim shot but still a good shot.
