Bile's not in the field, is he? I hope so...
Although I hope someone breaks 4, I don't see it happening. Obviously Yorks is the closest, but if they run they come through 1200 in under 3:00, anything can happen!
Lampron will win in 4:01
What the hell is this? This ain't no Dream Mile
If Bile is in the race it will be interesting. He is a totally different runner from last year. He doubled back at the state meet, from the mile, very well.
I don't see anyone dipping under 4, but it should be fast with the quality that appears on the list of runners.
Is it being broadcasted online or on TV at all?
Cheserek: Sub 14 5k, sub 1:50 800m. Many runners who couldn't break either mark have run sub 4. I think he can do it.
I don't understand why Cheserek gets so much attention and how his records are even recognized when he's so much older. He's 1 1/2 years older than some of the seniors in the field. He should be a freshman at a university somewhere and in that case nobody would care that he's ran under 14:00 for a 5k. He wouldn't be anything amazing, he would just be a good 19 year old runner in the NCAA.
Plus, he's Kenyan...
Regarding the race, if the rabbit does its job, sub 4 happens. I see a lot of guys getting close, too. Maybe 6 guys under 4:05.
Edward Cheserek wins in 4:01-2.
Would you like some cheese with your wine?
Bile is in the race. He was the last addition a day or two ago. He did well at the State meet this year and has a lot of race experience under his belt. He looks to be peaking at just the right time. I'd expect so see the leaders at 4:02 high, 4:03 low with Bile in 3rd just under 4:05.
Interested to see what Bile has when he pushed in a mile race.

exactly, I don't see cheserek breaking 4 either. I don't think he has improved since last year.

Whether or not he's improved, he's still capable of sub-4. He might even be able to run 3:57 or 3:58 with his ability in other events. If he has somebody to push him the last 400, I think he goes sub-4.
The last Dream Mile was Ryun v. Liquori in '71.

I hate post like this.. Every single one of these runners has had no one pushing them. You should say I wonder what the whole field is going to do when all of them are pushing each other. And by the way I got yorkshire winning.
Cheserek for the win!
In all fairness, I'm very biased. Jersey born and raised! But he is without a doubt a force to be reckoned with.
Don't see sub 4 happening, but almost certainly Haney does it his senior year. Kid's a sophomore stud, can probably run 4:06 right now and ran 8:55 much earlier in the season for 3200.
