There's a typo in the description. It should be were, not where. I hope the actual book was edited.

Nice book. Did you do any promotion other than Let's Run or did you just put it out there?

I noticed that too, and that's a big turn off for me being interested in a book when there's lack of editing for promotion.

What is everybody's deal with ripping this guy for being excited about his book?
I love running books - including "Sub 4:00" and "Born to Run" and "Running State" and others ...
If you want to miss out on a new running book, go right ahead and have fun with that
This guy? Or your husband, Jilly! "Kristi" my ass.
Mickey, quit spamming the boards with fake posts. Seriously. You have been reported to the authorities.
I loved "Born to Run" and think everybody should read it - life changing book for me.

The self promotion on LR really makes me question the origin of all the positive reviews on Amazon.
Thanks Kicker!
I did do some local promo (two newspapers did an article, and I had two public readings of the book with book signings).
But - this weekend the digital ebook is going to be available for FREE download on Amazon to absolutely anybody. So I am excited for others to get a chance to read it.
Thanks again for the compliment Kicker,
Mike
The book has been mostly purchased locally, so some of them know who I am, and of course that could factor into somebody's review. We all know that review boards are not perfect.
Also, Amazon does have the helpful "Amazon Verified Purchase" next to those reviews of users who actually purchased the book.
Anyway, the book will be available for Free download this weekend. So that will be the real test.
Thanks for the feedback

Hey - I am sorry for any offense taken. I honestly did NOT make any such post from any "Kristin" or "Jilly." I had a buddy over to my house last night to play cards and watch a movie & I seriously don't doubt that he is the one who did that. I am sure he thought it was histarical. He loves to make fun of message boards and often gets his kicks out of embarrassing others, especially when he has a few drinks in him.
Again, my apologies for the alleged behavior of my idiot friend and his ridiculous post.
Anyway, I wish you the best in your running.
Mike

Your friends email address is
JillyGraham@gmail.com? Did he create a totally new gmail address just to post from your computer to defend your book without you knowing? Did he hack your wife's gmail account and post from her, but changing his name to Kristin?
Buddy, you're in over your head. Stop digging and stop posting. You've dropped the links, just go away. Any more spamming and I might personally start writing bad reviews.

If this book was edited, sadly it wasn't done well.
I tried to get into it, but honestly, and I really don't want to be a d!ck here, this book is poorly written.
As a Prime member, I got the book for free. Sadly, I think I overpaid.
Is it out on audio yet? I couldn't find it on Audible.com.
