I am looking for opinions on my dilemma. I currently attend a JuCo that has a great xc/track program. I am a freshman that has been accepted to three schools so far (all top 100), all NCAA D1. I can go to School 1, which is highest ranked of the 3, and has a decent xc/track program and could run for them. School 1 is OOS for me, and could be a great experience seeing new things and places. I'd be a walk-on. Also note, I never been here and don't know if I could make a trip out to them before deciding to attend. Also, least expensive of the three.
School 2, is 2nd highest ranked of the 3 and has a lacking xc/track program and is the most expensive of the 3, even with an athletic scholarship. It is in state and in a semi-familiar area, but it is very nice. I do, however, feel I cannot get faster there and that I have a better chance getting faster staying at my JuCo.
School 3 is the lowest rank of all (still top 100, however) and has the best xc/track program of the 3. It was ranked top 25 in xc or track by whoever does that ranking thing (lol idk) and they are in the same conference as school 2 and completely dominates them, and almost all of the other schools in the conference. This school takes average runners and makes them great. It is in a nice city in state and I have been there before, as I have at school 2. This school is 2nd least expensive of the 3.
JuCo, or I can stay at a JuCo, train and hopefully get better in XC and track and then expand my transfer options (especially with a high gpa and if I get faster in running).
What choice would you choose?
