They sure are making getting fluids a big deal. Saw a few women completely stop running to get their bottles. Also impressed at the water sharing the Kenyans are doing.
I'm using firefox on the universal feed and is 100% good

Was searching for a live blog and found the one from last year - 16:41 at 5km in 2011, so a bit slower this time.

The local cbs coverage should be streaming on their website:

NOTE – OUR LIVE STREAMING RIGHTS END AT THE NEW ENGLAND BORDER.
CBS local stream works for me in Ithaca ny. Weird.
Toni Reavis is on there.
Now I don't know what to do. What's that or on tv? It's so much easier on tv.
But local cbs is 43 seconds ahead of tv.
A modest proposal:
LetsRun.com should host a premium live-blog during major marathons like Boston. The online video streams are great (it's terrific that Universal is offering it for free this year) but think how much better it would be with expert commentary, splits, etc.
LetsRun contributors could participate and get various experts to participate. It could be more like the Ironman Live coverage if you've ever seen that. Probably most of us are sitting here reloading the live thread anyway.
I bet if they tried this and charged a modest fee (say, $5 per race, $20 annual fee that gets you a certain number of races or something), you could get a pretty good thing going.
Any thoughts?
OK, 10am in Hopkinton. Weather.com says it's 76F. At the start in 2004 (at noon) it was 83F, so the First Wavers so far have better conditions than 8 years ago.
(Again, 1100 people received medical attention that year and we don't necessarily want a recurrence, but nobody died.)
OMG whats happening in the racelololoolollo
good idea, i'm watching the live feed but also the tracking page and refreshing this thread.
Two white guys are in the lead for the men. No joke..
They went through the mile in 4:50.
On the cbs stream, they are showing the a split screen.
I'd say the lead pack of guys is about 5 seconds behind.
Cbs stream is so bad I didn't realize that was Arciniaga in the lead. Way to go. McMillan must have read LetsRun.com and realized the weather aint that bad.
This Randall is going to die hard.
Go Whities!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
