Adios 2 slightly worse but still a good shoe. Now, slightly heavier and less smooth with awkward midfoot truss. Boston 3 and Glide 4 both dramatic improvements over previous models. Both now lighter and smoother. Boston 3 is now really firm which makes it very responsive but it requires a little break in period.
Thanks for the review. I loved the Adios 1. Figures they would have to mess with success. Good news on the Boston 3 and Glide 4. Curious to find out what shoe Mutai(sp?) wears in Boston.

^knows^
Glide 3 was an awful clunky thing; Glide 4 is a decent shoe.
Adidas are gradually getting their act together.
Got the Adios 2 and latest Boston. Whatever way you look at it, Adidas are missing a trick by not releasing versions of the shoes with less heel. I only wear them because they fit my feet better than my other shoes which have low heel drops.
Either of the Adidas with say, a 4mm drop would be really useful to me.
I think this is probably true for a lot of runners. I think it would be pretty useful to adidas too.
I done 400 miles in my Glide 3's, a very vague and not very impressive shoe. I replaced these with Glide 4's which are a BIG improvement over the 3's. Alot lighter and much more feedback from them.... However, the ankle box is silly high on them, they gave me some problems with my right ankle so I can't run in them no more.
I have the Boston 3 now and use them on the majority of my runs. Great shoe, light and responsive. Can be used for tempo's but then can definitely hold up for long runs 12 miles+ in my case. Love them!
I race in Adios 1's and plan to replace these with the Adios 2 very soon. I love the Adios 1, the forefoot in them is outstanding and they are such a responsive shoe. I hope the Adios 2 can be just as good as them, I honestly can't see them having bettered it with the Adios 2, a very difficult task.
Hope this helps you some :)
Thanks for the feedback...keep it coming.
For what it's worth I asked the "tech" at the Boston expo today about the adios change since I've only heard negative about it. He said the changes to the forefoot were to address the noise and slick nature on wet surfaces. It will also ward of the premature wear that the forefoot traction on the adios one had. The additional stiffness was to create more "pop".
Apparently several notable runners really disliked the noise that the old forefoot created.
