No argument there, but I was only talking about U.S. oil use since 1950. I didn't include: deforestation, U.S. oil use prior to 1950's, other global oil use, all use of coal, etc. Yea, the world is big, but much smaller things have made a demonstrable impact on the Earths climate in the past. Krakatoa dropped the average temperature by about 1 degree Celsius in the late 1800s.
