So is this just a lie (most likely) or do you not pay the least bit of attention to SIX movies you spent your hard unearned undertaxed capital gains on?

Nerd (noun): A word that insufferable douche bags use to describe themselves when they want to appear self-depreciating while calling themselves smart
I'm not sure the IRS will let you take depreciation on a douche bag. Flagpole, maybe you know more about this?
Okay so none of you have actually answered the question. To clarify, WoW is not for nerds, it is for awesome people.
If you're heard of it FP, it's not the nerdiest thing.
Flagpole.
Do you find that you have to continually try to prove your awesomeness to the world given you're so short and look a little like George Costanza?

You people need to define your terms. What do you mean by "nerd"? It often means someone with obsessive, technical interest in some field, often one that is obscure or non-mainstream. It can also carry connotations of lacking social skills and/or lacking in physical fitness.
So, me for instance: I certainly have obsessive, narrow interests, often in obscure fields. On the other hand, I have perfectly adequate social skills and am fairly athletic.
Flagpole, you have obsessive interests in (at least) investing, running, rock 'n roll, and making numbered lists.
Sorry to be involved in the hijacking of your thread OP.
+1.
If your going to talk about someone being a "nerd" your going to need to define what that word means, and it clearly means lots of different things to different people.
It tends to get emotional reactions to because its generally a loaded word that carries lots of negative connotation with it.
No lie. I know Boba Fett is a character in the Star Wars movies, but I have no idea who he is or what his deal is. Nerds commit Star Wars dialog and all characters to memory. Not me. Wasn't too long ago that I didn't know what "these are not the droids you seek" was. Again, nerds commit that to memory. I probably laughed at that the first time I saw the movie, but I did not commit it to memory. Now "these go to eleven" is worth remembering!

Awesomeness isn't the opposite of nerdiness. I never said I was awesome. There are lots of things I'm not. I'm not a metal head, goth, emo, hipster, or pretty much most designations. Nerd is just one of the many that I'm not. Seems many of you here want me to be one. Not sure why that is.
Here's the definition I go with:NERD: A) A foolish or contemptible person who lacks social skills or is boringly studious: "one of those nerds who never asked a girl to dance". B) An intelligent, single-minded expert in a particular technical discipline or profession.Regarding A, I have social skills and I'm not studious (never was). I also never shied away from the ladies.Regarding B, I'm not smart enough to be a nerd, and I'm no single-minded expert in any particular technical discipline. I DO advise companies how to set up their ERP software systems, but this is just a vocation. I don't love it. It's just a means to a paycheck. When I retire, I will not miss knowing ERP software one bit. Also, investing doesn't fall into the stated category.
