These shoes are awful. Ive run in minimalist shoes before and these hurt my feet!

What hurts, your feet, calves, what? I am not a hardcore minimalist only runner but do own a pair of Kinvaras and love them.
Kinvaras are racing flats that people try to train in. I did a 12 miler in them and my whole legs ached the last 3 miles. Okay if you have a nice soft trail to run on but asphalt and concrete not so good.
wore two pairs over 9 months, never had a issue and the best training I had in that 9 month span without injury.
My arches. And I usually train in a more minimalist shoe so this is weird.
They suck because I blow through the outsole of them in about 100 miles. Why didn't they put hard rubber on the outsides of the sole, rather than just in the middle area? I strike on my outside mid foot and land directly on the soft white foam, which just wears away with every foot strike.
I'd love them if they lasted longer.

Yeah. I overpronate tons an at like 200 miles i was wearing through the outter part of the sole.
And the top tears fairly easily too.
That said, the rest of its features are fine. The weigh is nice, it's fairly cushioned. ive done 12 milers in them fine, but i never ran i nthem all the time. usually i just wear them once a week for speedwork. Especially cuz now theyre really old.
As for it hurting your feet, that happens to me whenever I wear any new type of shoe. Even if it's a clunky 15oz trainer.
I have a couple of pairs I use for 5k/10k/HM races. I love them, but I also don't consider them "racing flats".

+1
over 800 miles on a pair, at about 80 miles a week and no injuries
the triangles have become flat but they are still usable
Hate those shoes. Much too narrow in the forefoot and they are not even close to being minimalist.
I like them a lot and have had no issues. The upper is very comfortable and transitioning to the lower heel-toe drop was no issue. I run almost exclusively on asphalt and find them to be plenty of shoe.
