Flood could win this one barefooted and running in lane 3 the entire time. Class of the field. No contest.

sheila reid is gonna win this race, no one in the field is as tough as her when it comes down the the final meters of the race. she's beaten all these girls before and she'll do it again. Flood will challenge but will lose cuz as fast as she kicks reid will find something extra that she won't have and will win.
someone had the nerve to not even predict reid in the top 5, are you serious?? lol

Reid Is not running in this race because she does not have eligibility. So I think its appropriate when I say you're the dumb one, "ya'll are dumb".
IF Sheila Reid were in this race she would win, but she is not.
I'm calling Infeld out kicking Flood and Hasay, but watch out for the two OTHER fantastic sophomore, D'Agostino and Sisson. Both have been throwing down awesome seasons out East.
Infeld beat Sisson rather easily at the Big East Indoors. Normally i would put Sisson behind Flood, Infeld, Hasay, D'agostino, Maier, Reilly and Van Dalen. But Sisson could move up because it is her only event. Same goes with Reilly and she is already one of the favorites. I think Maier wins the 5k but finishes outside the top 5 in the 3k (tough double up). All the other contenders are doubling up in either the mile or the DMR.
I'll go with: Flood, Infeld, Hasay, Reilly and D'agostino as my top 5 (in that order)
I think Emily Sisson had some mid-season health problems...she opened up great with a 4:38 mile right behind D'Agostino (which is great for her - she ran 4:44 when she was in 9:16/15:48 shape in HS)...then scratched the 3k matchup with Infeld and D'Agostino where they went 9:00 and 9:02.
She looked rusty and coming back to health at Big 10s, but I was very happy to see her run a negative split 9:06, only lose to Reid, and handily beat some good pros. She'll have a good race.
Just scrolled through some of the other posts and Oh My Goodddddd, we're on the same page. My picks are identical to yours. Maier in the 5k, Hasay over Van Dalen in the mile with Anne Kesserling right there and then Flood just outkicking Infeld.
All 3 races should be fun as will the DMR. I'm going to go with a Oregon, Georgetown and Washington top 3. For Washington to win, they need their 800 leg to stay within shouting distance of both Georgetown and Oregon.
What you don't think Hasay will win the same 2 races she won last year? lol you are a freaking tool
Since Jordan is will foucing on scoring points, she is certaintly going to double and perhaps triple, so I would say it is between Infeld and Flood. Don't discount Infeld, her 9 flat 3k was run under less favorable circumatances than Flood's 8:55. D'Agostino, Maier and some of the other girls mentioned will be in the mix, but they are all suspect in championship type race run at a 9:10 pace that drops down to 65 seconds for the last quarter.

Wouldn't it be better if she ran with two barefooted, or two shoes?

Word on the street is that Infeld closed that negative 9' 3k in sixty-one seconds.
Maybe Flood will take it, maybe, but she won't run away with it.
Word on the street is right. D'Agostino was leading most of the race until Infeld unleashed her kick...both girls are good kickers (as evidenced by 5k outdoors and NCAA XC) but Infeld is the real deal right now. Her kicks at Big 10s were simply insane. I think this will be her coming out party, and it won't be an "upset" or "surprise." She is capable of sub 8:55 right now.

Therefore D'Agostino finished in 63 seconds, which is faster than 65 seconds.
Flood will destroy the field!
Let's not forget that Flood has now been running long enough for Metcalf that odds are she is about to crash and burn. Isn't that what happens to most of the UW girls?
Just sayin' what I've been seein'
True. Flood will explode, afterall....... she's a Huskie. Meanwhile, my predicition is Hasay will win the mile then pull out of the 3000M because by then UofO would have won the three-peat. Jordan is focused on outdoors.
Cant wait to laugh at all of you when Hasay loses and doesnt come close to doubling
Haaa
flood is seriously overated and the masses have jumped on the bandwagon. Shes good but by no means a sure thing.
Heard it here 2nd, van dalen for the double. But more realistically she wins the mile and infeld wins 3k.
Why are east coast/mid west fans so hostile?!? The Greg Metcalf and UOregon hatred is way of control. It might be just one person writing all these nasty comments but why all the animosity towards a these coaches/programs you have has absolutely no contact with???
3k and Dmr should be the highlights off the weekend!
Flood is a sure bet!!! She is gonna stomp a mudhole in the rest of those slow biatches!
