When do these coaching staff's need to be finalized? classes start very soon and athletes need time to be informed of coaching moves... anyone know if theres a deadline these schools like illinois and purdue and arkansas are working with?

Im sure most of them will be finalized by August 1, most schools have different hiring policies.

Why do the athletes need to be informed? Whoever the head coach hires is in the best interest of the University and the program.
The athletes have no decision nor does their opinion matter.
in some ways this is true, and in others the athletes do have s little opinion if the head coach allows them to be in the hiring process.
Athletes have no decision and can't have an opinion? You are very wrong on this. Many programs allow their athletes to have a voice in the decision process. Read Running with the Buffaloes and see that the CU athletes had a voice. I ran for a DI school which factored in our voice as well, when we changed both head track coach and head distance coach.
Word on the street is that Minnesota State University - Mankato, hires Chris Parno former Augustana College (SD) GA for their women's assistant job...link to come soon
minnesota mankato needs to tell blondie that shes been rockin that hairdo long enough

Vig to Stanford & bringing Andrews and Webb with him to the farm!
Seriously who is leaking information about the Mankato job? Is this what the NSIC has come to? Hiring young inexperienced coaches who have absolutely no business having a full time job?
I heard he likes guys......

NC State is making a splash this year with their incoming recruiting class, featuring three openly gay runners. How will this affect the dynamic of their team?
Brittney Reese, the U.S. Long jump champion is gay. Check out her facebook page.
Can we PLEASE get back to jobs? What's up at UNC, Kentucky, Stanford, Purdue?
If you know, share.
Oh, and TCU, too?
Enough already with the sexuality dialogue. If you're looking for a date or a partner go NC STATE or message Ms. Reese! S@#t.
Now back to the topic at hand...job opening!
Any word on the open distance position at Illinois and are there actually any serious candidates up for that position?
Thanks
What about coach Kelly at rutgers (jumps and multiple)? As of yesterday, rutgers is hiring a throws/jumps/multi event coach....
Just spoke to a person interviewed for Stanford HC job and he told me it seems that they are looking to hire a female distance coach with old Stanford ties.
Stanford is looking to hire Andy and Maurica Powell. Maurica was hired by Oregon a week ago.

Is Houlihan an addition or a replacement for Ann Detmer?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
