cant compare sprinters and runners. sprinters are "handled" much closer by their coaches. runners do far more work away from their coaches and as such, understand their own bodies and training cycles.

You do understand that a computer with zero human input puts up the "Super Hot" stuff. A thread is hot based on how many different people are reading it - not posting on it.
It's placement on the front page makes y'all look like irresponsible rumor mongers. If that's how y'all want to be seen, then please accept my humble apology. But to say, "Hey, it's not OUR fault, blame the computer" is beyond lame. Do y'all really aspire to be the TMZ of the running world?
This is what you make news when you can't get sources to talk to you. Just make stuff up and force them to refute it when the accusation gets completely out of hand and obnoxious.
Thay have removed a SuperHOT thread announcement before when it highlighted some really tasteless subject, they could do it again if they wanted, but they obviously don't want to. They'll hide behind, "the computer did it!".

we the fans can only speculate as there are countless possible reasons.
it would be good to hear what happened from them.
Grass is always greener on the other side as they say...
The window is slowly closing and earning potential as an athlete becomes shorter by the day and by the race. Wanting a second child expedites decision making.
Marathon running is where the money is at not making another team to run the 10k at this stage of the game.
We'll find out what happened eventually. The running community is too small and too interested in what each other are doing to let this not go public. AlSal and the Goucher's will try to sweep this under the rug but I imagine there is bad blood between the two parties now because of the lack of comments made, this will lead to the truth coming out.
With a public appearance scheduled this weekend for the Denver Marathon, I'd imagine that would be an opportune to announce a new training group and title sponsor (if that's the case).

Guess before my song is done...
And now my song is done!
Ritz is not long for Portland. Anyone know if his house is for sale?
Are you saying that "super hot" is auto generated and then automatically is placed below the quote of the day?
I noticed that a lot of days don't have a super hot, so it made me think this was deliberately selected.
I'm a fan but I had assumed super hot was more for breaking factual news and not pure gossip/speculation (Breaking news+ speculation seems more appropriate). But thanks for clarifying
goucher ran 31:16 at USATF, 21 sec off her pr, after 2:24:52 in April. she had a very good year after pregnancy and had she not gotten injured, she might have had a very good summer campaign. So, in terms of her performances this year, there is no clear reason to leave Salazar. Maybe it has more to do with Adam. But she was good enough for Bronze in Osaka in 2007 and she's right near her career bests now, so I see no reason that she could not medal again on the track in the right circumstances.
It's the Ryan Hall Effect (TM). She's seen Hall go out solo, throw off the shackles of a dominating coach, and succeed. Or...it could be a dozen other reasons.
When did Yoder Begley leave?!
It seems that maybe Salazar has been more focused on Rupp and Mo. Which is understandabe since they are incredible talents who are only coming into their careers. Also, both are neither injury prone nor headcases which is probably a breath of fresh air for Al Sal.
Kara is neither injury prone nor a headcase but maybe she wants more attention from her coach. And who can blame her. She still has a few more years to run some fast marathons.
Colt was bawling inconsolably during an interval session and Alberto put him in the cryosauna to chill him out. That was the last straw (also Kara is apparently having a custom Alter-G for the toddler put into her new skechers contract)

Kara probably sees the OT as a lock with her, Desi and Shalane making the team.
Check out last spring's LA marathon results.
Amy is not yet in the same league. Good kid, promising career, but not there yet.
Does anyone know if she's still sponsored by Nike?
