I have a serious issue and I need advice! I just had a meet and I am upset with my performance. I ran a 16:20,which I would normally be ecstatic withwith. But last week I ran a 16:43 on a much hillier course. I never cooled down properly,ran 10 miles the day after and a hard track workout the day after that. Needless to say I was sore the whole week and never fully recovered even though I did very easy workouts the past 2 days. Is it even possible to overtrain so heavily over the course of one week???? Please tell me, I am I just tired or is my season doomed...how can I get back to the level I ran last week?????
