how about Earl Jones. There are some amazing stories about this guy and his fabled strength.
I'd also include 'no toes' as a candidate.

Teg is a monster... and hes pretty quick over 3.75 to, now, 25 laps.
Michael Lovato....triathlete, but good runner....
You skinny distance runners crack me up...I see very few pics posted here to be one truely ripped but everyone is hooting and howling over them. To be ripped one needs to have muscle mass - ripped means to see muscle definition...most all these pics are just skinny runners. Look at sprinters if you want to see ripped.
A female friend of mine the other day can be quoted as saying that "Seeing him run with his shirt off is a privilege to women"
I'm not posting pics
I am shocked and disgusted that in six pages, I have not seen this guy mentioned once. Thread really, really over.
He's got the abs:
And he's got the eye shadow:
Re-read page 2 of this thread. Already mentioned.

Sorry, brah, but your throwaway mention (without any pics) doesn't qualify. You did a disservice to yourself, to Cox, and to the LRC message boards. Now apologize.
Rexing?
MORE importantly, why are these guys packed with muscles despite clocking hundereds of miles each week? Isn't running supposed to be catabolic to the body?
It seems to me that there is something about distance running, some heightening effect, which seems to unveil some higher, complex musculature within. I suddenly recall, precisely 5 years ago, one instance where a certain local collegiate runner appeared in the pinnacle ripped form--more so than other occasions I witnessed before and after--looking like some Olympic demigod. Among other things, looked like a friggin ten pack. Certainly never reached those rarified elite annals of performance, but yes for ripped form unsurpassed thereafter.

Rexing!
Rexing isn't even close among Ohio runners. Bridget Franek's uncle when he was a 9:06 3200 runner. He was breaking 25:00 for 5 miles as a masters runner a few years ago.
