How are these? I've never worn any version of the Lunaracers and wanted to try them, but am concerned about blisters.
Are blisters only a factor if you don't wear socks? What about the heel rubbing?

Both the original version and this newer version blister the hell out of my Achilles tendons, and that's with socks. The newer version may be even worse than the original for this.
If you have wider forefoot, they will chew up your outside toes because they have "underlays" that are positioned directly over them. They are very snug around the midfoot due to the flywire. You put the shoe on and you can't help but want to run fast.
The shoe is light and cushioned and they are wonderful road 5K to Marathon shoe.
I bought a pair of the newest lunaaracers and they destroyed my feet. Literally blood all in the shoe within 5 miles of running. However, it's strange because I really liked the LR1s and didn't experience any issues like this. So basically, the new lunaracers may work for some people but definitely beware because they may just chew your feet up.
I personally liked the LR2 the best (even though it was slightly heavier). Still very light and always felt great to run in. Shame they discontinued them.
I have a pair and man do that feel good on your feet.. however, they chew me up bad.. terrible blistering on my big toe and toe nail issues on my others.
Ive run an 18 miler and a marathon and a 10 miler in them, but every time I just get killed.

No socks?
I'd also like to add that I brought mine to an old school shoe store and they used a stretcher in the toe box and I never had any issues after that. For the first 9 or 10 runs I put duct tape around my toes. I also wore very thin socks.

I was wearing socks - however they were low cut. I wore high socks on my next run just to make sure and right as i started running I could feel the shoes cutting into my feet. Shoes just shouldn't do that. With all that being said, some people love them. I guess my feet just aren't good for the shoes. So my advice is to check em out and definitely do a test run if you can.
