any info are wheating's spikes? they the new victory spikes or something? i heard it features a carbon fiber plate, but the upper doesnt look like a victory upper (couldnt see anything that looked like it). any news on when it;s coming out for us and what the difference between it and the victory are? (like whats so great about carbon fiber vs tpu?)

I've wondered the same thing. I'm pretty sure they are the same spikes that Robby Andrews runs in and I've seen several other mid distance runners wear them as well. Some of them do seem to have the same upper as the victorys but Wheating's do not. I even asked one of the Nike reps in the Nike tent about them but she had no clue what I was talking about.
ya i heard a few weeks back at ncaa's someone said they were the victory two protos. i'm not sure how true that is but i remember seeing robby wearing them. maybe its like a hybrid of the old miler (stiffer plate) and the current victory (lightweight). and maybe they have a model for the 8 and one for the 15?
New spike has full length plate but CF is doubtful, although it would give a lot of energy return on toe-off (maybe too much?). Wheating`s spikes from this weekend had a modified Flywire layout.

whats the difference between a full length plate and something like the victories plate where its only on the forefoot? is it just more energy return, and how can it give too much enrgy return? also, do ou know when we'll be able to get these

In the picture with wheating's spikes on lagat's back, it looks like the spikes have a mamba like mesh instead of the mesh on the current victories.
