Hadn't even thought of Lagat since he said earlier in the season that he would focus on the 5000.
The 15 prelim is Thursday
The 5000 which is a final only is on Friday
The 15 finals are on Saturday
Maybe he will do both again if he is feeling well. Or run the 1500 final if something goes wrong with the 5000.
Gotta put him top three if he lines up.
Lagat is obviously a very cagy competitor, and he may be using this as a test to see if he still has it to double. It's somewhat risky if he has go out too hard in the 1500 prelim, then face Solinsky, Teg, and Rupp the next day (if at least one of them runs the 10000, the 5000 final probably becomes a tempo run for Lagat, which is probably what he's expecting). He's likely depending on tactical races the first 2 days, running just to place, then see what he has left for the 1500 final.
