Only ran 35 miles this week.
Had to take Monday off to recover from Sunday’s race.
I don’t think I was recovered on Tuesday ha
This week is a race free week so I’m doing something I probably shouldn’t do.. another 50+ mile week. I need to do more race prep stuff but the urge to run another 2000 mile year is more a priority, right or wrong, than racing.
For the summer series races, I just noticed that I’m in first place in points fir the Grand Prix.....That means I’ll make myself get up and get to the races across town that I have to get up at 3am for ha
I wouldn’t be in the top 3 in the next older age group ha... no offense to my fellow runners in my age group.. it’s great to be running with them and it will help motivate me to show up.
Morning workouts at 4am have started out at 95 degrees and then there’s that little speck of time just as daybreak hits where the temperature cools about 3 to 5 degrees before it begins to skyrocket as the sun comes up.. that’s the hour I shoot for.

Watching hockey playoffs, trials and re-reading all my old “ How they Train” books...Greg Brock, TNF editions and Jack Pfeifer.. man there great to re-read!
