A solid week of plodding. A few things got in the way so my kayak, bike and rowing were restricted.
I managed over 8 hours of running, covering a bit over 60 kms but with nearly 2600 metres of elevatiom gain.
Just one 15 minute indoor row. One 40 minute kayak. One day of mountain biking 36 kms in 2 hrs split over 2 rides. Actually the morning 16 km ride was broken up by a 3 km jog. One hilly road ride of 30 kms in about 1 h 15 m.
All up 15 runs.
Mon. 3.1 km hilly trail run (24min) in the middle of the am mtb ride.
Tue. Jog into work 3.4. Jog back to the car 3.6 kms
Steep hill work when I got home 4 x Roo Hill. Total 6.2 kms with 464 metres elevation gain.
Wed. 5 x Suicide Hill. All up just 3.7 kms but 280 metres elevation gain. Then jog into work 3.5 and jog back after work 3.4 kms.
Thu. 5 x Suicide Hill total 5 kms and 360 metres elevation gain. Jog into work 3.3 kms and jog back after work 3.4 kms.
Fri. Squeezed in 1.1 kms around the hospital with some stairs. 8 mins. This was during our scheduled 15 min. afternoon tea break.
Squeezed in another 3.3 kms during the evening meal break.
Sat. Down to Melbourne for our annual AFL Grand Final bbq. Pre bbq I ran a hilly 7 kms on Quarry Hills. 45 mins. 260 metres elevation gain.
I jogged a gentle 3 kms in the dark afterwards.
Sun. 8.7 kms inc some hader efforts on the steep Temple Ridge Hills. 6 x 350 metre hill with another 100 metre hill effort after jogging back down. I was going to do another couple but the legs had a different view. All up 675 metres elevation gain in 1 hr 30 mins.
Mostly slow and mostly fairly easy. Lots of grinding climbs. The flatter stuff is at ridiculously slow paces mostly 6 min to 7 min per km. Feeling good.
