I'm looking to transition to something a little lighter. I got 550 miles out of my precision's, then the upper torn. I was thinking about the Brook's Launch, Mizuno Wave Ronin 3 or Saucony Kinvera 2. Any suggestions? Any ideas from Addidas?
Thanks

Just wondering, how was the heel collar of the Mizuno Precisions? I've tried on the Mizuno Wave Rider 14s and the heel collar felt like a brick. I can't find a Mizuno Precision to compare. I really liked the feel of the Wave Riders besides the heel collar.
I've run in the Riders for the last 8 years. I'm okay with the 14's, but I do agree the heel is a little stiff.
The Precision 11's are extremely soft, especially in the metatarsal area.
And to comment on the OP's post, 550 miles out of a performance trainer isn't bad at all. I've raced in the Ronins, and I loved them, but I'm not comfortable with using them as a training shoe.
Also, I would definitely forget the Launch. I really just don't like them as a shoe, they feel cheaply made, compared to brooks' other shoes. If you want to go Brooks, I'd say the new Ravenna would suit you well.
New Balance 890 or the soon to be released 1190

I've run many miles in the Precision line of shoes and like them a lot. Currently rotating Precision 11 - Wave Rider 13 and Brooks Launch.
I think the Launch is a good shoe. Honestly I didn't think much of it at first but I like it now and bought a 2nd pair. It works good for daily runs and won't fight you if you do a tempo run. Some people have commented that they are too soft but that hasn't bothered me.
Go again with new Precision 11 or with the little lighter (about 30grms ) Mizuno Musha 3.
Mizuno Ronin is very good racers but after my opinion not for every day trainers .
I'll chime in -- did Wave Riders continuously from 2002 to 2009, then Precisions from 2009-10, and am now coming up on a solid year exclusively on the Ronin 2s. Ronins have worked fine for me as an everyday shoe -- I probably do ~50% of my workout on trails and the remaining 50% on roads.
Currently looking for something lighter than Ronins, but not because of a problem with that shoe, just because I'm ready to move on down.
Have been running in the Launch on chips, trails, streets, and, occasionally, on the track. Have had no issues with it. I can see how some folks think it is a bit soft.
A second for Brooks Launch. All kinds of surfaces with no problems.
After many years in Precisions I wanted a lighter and somewhat softer shoe for everyday training. Tried Kinvaras and liked the platform, light weight and cushioning, but the sloppy forefoot fit caused me problems. Picked up the Launch and find it to be a very good everyday shoe. I wouldn't race in them, but the fit is good, it's stays out of my way, and as a midfoot striker at 152 lbs in size 11.5, the cushioning is just right. It does feel like it rides higher than the Precision though which isn't great for trails.
