Is the Boston course eligible for a CR?
Is the Boston course eligible for a CR?
This just in. The U.S. Supreme Court says that today's times will count as world and U.S. marathon records.

It's over dude. So over.
When and where will a replay of the race be shown?

fo real? Shiiizzzz
Seems to be working for Hall who is now a sub 2:05 marathoner
Keep working your 8-5
Hall was posted as finishing 3rd for a while, then they updated the results page to show he was actually 4th. It was hard to tell from the TV broadcast with all the chaos going on at the finish.

POD
IF this course won't count for WORLD RECORD and AMERICAN RECORDS, what about PRS? Will they count?
Anyone know if this marathon is longer or shorter than other marathon courses?
How about the fact that the quote of the day no longer applies?
Holy cow! Moses Mosop has been disqualified for not running a qualifying time before today's race! Ryan Hall moves into 3rd place!
Oh, wait, Mosop qualifies due to a technicality: he raised $5,000 charity money for the National Renegade Hangnail Society.
I assume way shorter, maybe 42,00km

Only if you agree to put an asterix for "wind-aided" next to them.
Has anyone run 26.2 miles faster? Ever?
Reading comprehension problems again, the poster above said world-record time, not World Record. The first use of world record is as a descriptor modifying 'time' not as the noun; however using a dash would correct the problem.

That ^ was over before it even started.
MEB KEFLEZIGHI MUST FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!
Two notes on the silly comments abou God.
1. God is not a cheater. In competition, you get what you deserve but your own skill and work.
2. If SHE was a cheater, Hall would not have run 2:04:55 and finished 4th! Hall would have broken 2:03 and WON the race! Is that the best God can do? Fourth Place? Congrats to Hall but he wasn't being "helped"
Oh BTW: Do they even have "World Record" for marathon offically now? For ages it was always called "World Best" recognizing the individual uniqness off all the courses.
But world record or not, it was STILL the fastest time ever ran so kudos for that! Boston actually is NOT a fast course except in those exceptional years when you have a 26 mile tailwind! Huggs Becky

Hall should use this momentum and run the summer track circuit. This dude could smash 27 mins for 10k. He should just follow Ritz's schedule from a few summers ago and skip the fall marathon after the summer and get ready for Olympic Qualifiers in 2012.
Doubtful...
besides, Teg don't run no 10k

PRs are cute little figments of individual imagination. They are of no relevance to anything. Go ahead and claim a PR. See if I care.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
