Anyone find the new Lunaracer +1 is TOO soft? What are your thoughts on the newest version?

i was going to post a thread similar to this.
I ran in the 1's in fall 09, but dont really remember them well... Ran in many pairs of lunaracer 2s, probably 2000 miles or so combined. loved them. probably the best shoe ive ever worn. The three, not liking it as much. Maybe im just used to the well worn in pair of 2s i have as well, but the 3s just seem stiffer and bulkier underfoot. The upper is definitely stiffer and more cramped, including the toe box. My right big toe goes numb every time i wear them whether im running 5:30 pace or 8:00 pace. Definitely a fan of the 2's over the 3's.
I have all three versions and really don't notice a difference between the 1 and the 3. The sole and midsole appear to be almost exactly the same.
Bump . . . any other experiences?

Thats because they are the same. The current model is not the Lunaracer 3, it is a re-release of the original model. The Lunaracer 3 will supposedly be out next year.
The Lunaracer 1 and Lunaracer 3 are not exactly the same!
The cushioning of the Lunaracer 1 is Lunarlite and the cushioning of the Lunaracer 3 is Lunarlon. They also weigh diferently. Here's the weights of my three versions of Lunaracers (size 11.5):
Original Lunracer 1: 6.5 ounces (Lunarlite)
Lunaracer 2: 8:00 ounces (Lunarlite)
New Lunaracer: 7.6 ounces (Lunarlon)
Speaking of the Lunaracer, there are 6 new colors up on the nikestore website. Pretty impressed.

be careful with the newest lunaracers. they tore my feet apart badly. i mean blood all over the shoes so for me they are un-runnable..but other people seem to have success. so def try them on before immediately buying. my 2 cents.

I have wide feet and own these shoes. I own the 1's, 2's, and "3's" which are the re-release.
I brought the 3's to an old school shoe store downtown and had them stretched in the toe box. The cost was FREE. Then, I wrapped my baby toes in duct tape each time I wore them...5-6 times in a week. Now, they fit. I basically told that shoe that I will not be f***ed with and it will conform to my feet.
