mittens - Recovering from a 1/2 and a full marathon are two completely different animals in my experience. Usually, recovering from a half, I won't change my normal mileage that much...but just keep everything slow for 5 days (no workouts). With a marathon, I need to take some serious down time afterwards. I mean like 2 weeks of maybe 30 miles per week, before I'm feeling ready to train again. Just take it day by day with the recovery...don't force anything.
oz - Wow, not a day off in nearly 2 years...very impressive! Sorry to hear about the blind runner's marathon...if he was starting to tighten up only 17k into the race, he had to have known he was in for a long day. Very admirable of him to push through all that.
blaznbison - Didn't say it last week, but that 4x10k was absolutely insane, to be able to hit the times you did for that workout...off little to no carbs shows the type of shape you're in.
