Hi everyone. I'm a high school junior with PRs of 4:22, 9:22, and 15:38. I run about 60mpw with a long run of 13. I'm injury prone and I've struggled to find a shoe that really feels comfortable and keeps me injury free. My left foot is very flat and has a very small arch while my right foot is close to neutral and has very little over-pronation. Last track season I got bad shin splints 2 weeks before the state meet and had to scratch. In December of this year I was out for 4 weeks with IT band issues. I've been running for 8 weeks now and I'm currently running 50mpw. However, I feel pain in my shins and posterior side of both legs. I run in New Balance 769s with orthotic supports and I just feel off. I do strengthening circuits 3x a week and I'm positive the shoes/my mechanics are causing my pain. I know this site isn't a replacement for getting properly fitted, but if anyone could recommend a shoe to look at, I would greatly appreciate it.
