Corral A? Wow impressive. You had a good start then.I have run Disney 8 times and it is a great course and fun especially going thru Cinderella's castle at mile 11.Did you smile because that is where the photographers are!Plus after the Castle in Magic Kingdom is the best place for your family and friends. The course does have a lot of tight turns because of going thru all the theme parks so it is not a fast course. The 6 a.m. start time and running in the dark for the first hour is not that fun plus the disney organizers want you in your corral by 5 a.m. Seeing all the Disney characters along the course is a trip! Disney is a great running vacation I wish I was there this past Sunday..You are right about the finish you go around the big "golf ball" and make a slight turn and then you hear and see the crowd. The walk from the warm-up area is awful because it is narrow road and the grass is wet.The best thing to do is wear old clothes and avoid checking anything in and just leave the old clothes at the start.
Chicago marathon is my favorite.......
Why does the same guy keep posting about West Wyoming with different names?
My favorite marathon is Hamburg, followed closely by Paris, then Vienna.
Paris was my slowest time ever, 3:09, but I was lucky just to finish having had an Achilles tendon surgery only 9 weeks prior. I had a blast....started back with the 5 hour runners and I challenged myself to pass as many people as possible, and I ended up passing over 10,000 folks from 5km to the finish, according to their website. In Paris you have a wine stop at 35km! Beautiful city and a great marathon.
