Did Rupp really race in long tights?
Did Rupp really race in long tights?
he really did.
Salazar wore tights in the 83 World XC Champs. He was 4th. This was the first time I saw running tights. I wondered why he was wearing them- no one else was.

Results on Scottish Athletics. Go to fixtures.
Are official results up?
Coverage was ok but do we really need a helicopter shot. I would have liked to have seen more of the hill from bottom to top. The hill really sorted the men from the boys very quickly.
Why was the 4K (Varsity Race) so slow? Hugely tactical? Winning time was a slower pace than Farah in the 8K.
A better question is why they would let Farah run the 4K after going to so much trouble to give the white guys a taste of victory.
That course was Mo-certified.
I don't think I've seen Mo Farah run very often - does he have bad form for an elite? I saw some video of him going up those hills today, and he looked extremely hunched over, his back almost past parallel with the ground.

Mo's got really good form. That hill is incredibly steep, it just didn't look it on TV.
Bearing in mind he dropped the field in that 'hunched over' style. I wouldn't worry too much.
On another note, do you ever think Hasay will get as close to women like Masai as Purdue did in her whole career, let alone right now?
Just thinking!! What would make Mo not train with the kenyans (the best according to him) anymore in Iten?
Since he is sponsored with Adidas (not Nike), I don't get the reason why he would change something that seems to be working well for him!
The first lap in the mens 4km was really slow but Kipchoge's last lap was way faster than any of Mo's by 14 seconds.
