This is a high shot of the main pack at Terre Haute, taken about the 5K. It shows the top-65 or so guys (if you include teh six runners ahead, out of frame):

It is interesting to see how it meshes with the final team results, as most of the top teams are so well-represented.
Some notes on team dynamics:
- OSU and WIsconsin are neck-and-neck at this point, with both teams having their top-4 represented (Wisco guys are in almost perfect alignment). OSU was to slightly improve their top-4, and bring in a late-charging Stublaski to clinch. Wisco was to lose Krause in a devasting collapse and end up third to...
-FSU, who has three guys solid and will bring up a fourth to grab second from Wisco. Stanford has three here also, but a faltering Heath from this pack and their 5th/6th will be relatively weak to move them back to fourth.
-Oklahoma also has three guys here, but two will fade a bit to bump them to fifth, but still ahead of...
-Oregon, who has low-stick Puskedra up front, but gets udermined by a weak 4-5-6.
Which brings up one of the most interesting things about this photo: there are NO Indiana guys! They will charge hard in the second 5K and bring three (almost four) into the top-60, and their 45-second spread between 1-5 will catapult them past higher-ranked teams like Iona and NAU, and particularly, New Mexico, which will fade to 16th.
Also notice the runner from Richmond making a historical debut in the lower left, and the Freddie Mercury lookalike with the camcorder ;)
